Objectives
This class introduces students to the underlying academic writing, presentation, and note-taking skills needed to study business via English.

By the completion of this course, students will be able to:
•use basic academic vocabulary in written and spoken texts
•understand the main points of short texts, videos, and presentations
•take notes from short texts, videos, and presentations
•paraphrase and quote ideas from outside sources
•introduce and cite outside sources in short presentations and written reports
•give short presentations on topics related to business
•participate in discussions on topics related to business
•demonstrate understanding of basic analysis frameworks (3C Analysis)

Contents
This class introduces students to the Bilingual Business Leader program and helps them understand the key skills they will need to be successful in the program. The goal of the BBL program is for COB students to be able to study international business management via English. BBL Intro is focused on helping students to develop the core skills and knowledge needed to studying business via English.

BBL Introduction provides students with an introduction to key academic writing, presentation, and note-taking skills. Students will practice these and apply a business framework (3C analysis) in a group project. This class also helps students to build their leadership skills in an English environment via group discussions and class activities.
