Publishing research is an essential part of graduate studies. This course is designed to help students submit a strong academic essay to an English journal, be accepted, and publish their research. This course also covers the preparation of a grant application. The course will be taught in a classroom setting unless there is advance notice. In a workshop-style setting, students will learn the general process of publication, how to prepare a proposal, effective ways of communication with editors, and the steps to complete the process. The order of topics may be adjusted to maximize learning outcomes.
