Course Objectives
The participants will understand the historical Jesus Movement from the perspective of presenting a new vision against the backdrop of the social crisis of the time. Using Gerd Theissen's The Jesus Movement: A Social History of a Value Revolution as a text, we examine and discuss what kind of value transformation the Jesus Movement brought about, especially in themes such as economic crisis, political crisis, and ethical crisis. The aim is for participants to gain insight into the social significance of the person of Jesus and to deepen their understanding of the process by which Christianity was established. The New Testament will be used as a text, and discussions from a modern perspective are also welcomed.
Course Contents
After the introduction, the students will make a presentation on the assigned section of the text (G.Theissen, Die Jesusbewegung: Sozialgeschichte einer Revolution der Werte), followed by a discussion among all students.

授業の目標 / Course Objectives
歴史的イエスの運動を当時の社会的危機を背景とした新たなヴィジョンの提示という観点から理解する。特に経済的危機、政治的危機、倫理的危機などのテーマにおいて、イエス運動がどのような価値転換であったかを、ゲルト・タイセン『イエス運動 ある価値革命の社会史』をテキストとして、考察、討議していく。参加者がイエスという人物の社会的意義について知見を得るとともに、キリスト教成立の過程についての理解を深めることを目指す。新約聖書をもテキストとし、さらに現代的視点からの討議も歓迎する。

イントロダクションの後、履修者がテキスト（G. タイセン『イエス運動 －ある価値革命の社会史』廣石望訳）の担当箇所について発表を行い、その上で履修者全員による討論を行う。
