Course Objectives
The purpose of this course is to reflect on teaching practices and various experiences in educational practice at elementary schools, as well as to understand the social significance of school education and the teaching profession.
The objectives of this course are as follows.
(1) Explain the concepts that are important to conceptualize educational practice as a teacher.
(2) Apply the concepts to actual teaching and instruction of students.
(3) Reconsider the students' own educational practices and educational philosophy.
Course Contents
In this course, students read the UNESCO report "Rethinking Education" and make presentations and discussions about its findings in class. Students are required to summarize the text and describe their findings in writing as part of their own preparation for the course. These learning experiences help students understand the concepts that are important in the international context of education and teacher education.

授業の目標 / Course Objectives
本科目は、小学校における教育実習での授業実践や様々な経験を振り返るとともに、学校教育や教職の社会的意義について理解することを目的とする。
本科目の目標は以下のとおりである。
（１）教師として教育実践を構想するうえで、重要な概念について説明できる。
（２）諸概念を実際の授業での指導や生徒指導の場面に適用できる。
（３）受講者自身の教育実践や教育観を問い直す。
The purpose of this course is to reflect on teaching practices and various experiences in educational practice at elementary schools, as well as to understand the social significance of school education and the teaching profession.

授業の内容 / Course Contents
本科目では、ユネスコのレポート『教育を再考する』を読み、授業内でその内容についてのプレゼンテーションや議論を行う。予習として、受講者には文献の要約と気づきについて文書にまとめてもらう。こうした学習活動を通じて、教育や教師教育に関する国際的な文脈で重要とされる諸概念が理解できるようになる。
In this course, students read the UNESCO report "Rethinking Education" and make presentations and discussions about its findings in class. 授業時間外（予習・復習等）の学習 / Study Required Outside of Class
・予習として、テキストを読み、要点と論点を文書にまとめること。担当する章のプレゼンテーションの準備をすること。
・復習として、テキストを読み直したうえで、授業内でのディスカッションによって得られた教職や教育実践に関わる気づきをまとめること。最終レポートに向けた準備を進めること。
