Course Objectives

With a global perspective, students will be able to understand and analyze various social issues and causes from the human rights and equity point of view. Students will also explore and find what can be done and how citizens and civil society can contribute to solving these problems.

Course Contents

We have a common understanding of the basic concepts of human rights and equity, and deepen our understanding of SDGs by re-examining global and local issues from the perspective of human rights and equity. Based on concrete cases, we analyze issues of health, education, and peace and the linkage with other issues. We search for various approaches to problem solving and the role of citizens and civil society. Students are to participate in an event program related to this theme, outside of class at least once during the semester and submit report,
