Course Objectives
With a global perspective, students will be able to understand and analyze various social issues and causes from the human rights and equity point of view. Students will also explore and find what can be done and how citizens and civil society can contribute to solving these problems.
Course Contents
We have a common understanding of the basic concepts of human rights and equity, and deepen our understanding of SDGs by re-examining global and local issues from the perspective of human rights and equity. Based on concrete cases, we analyze issues of health, education, and peace and the linkage with other issues. We search for various approaches to problem solving and the role of citizens and civil society. Students are to participate in an event program related to this theme, outside of class at least once during the semester and submit report,

授業の目標 / Course Objectives
グローバルな視野をもって、今日起こっている様々な社会課題と原因について、人権、平等の視点から理解し分析できるようになる。またそれらの課題解決に向かって、個人および市民社会の立場からできること・果たせる役割を探り見出すことができる。

授業の内容 / Course Contents
人権と平等の基本概念を理解し、SDGsに関して人権と平等の視点からグローバル及び身近な課題を見つめなおし、理解を深める。特に、健康、教育、平和を切り口に、具体的な取り組み事例を分析し、課題のつながりと問題解決に向けた多様なアプローチと市民・市民社会の役割について考察する。また、学期中に1回は、授業外でこのテーマに関連したイベント・プログラムに参加し、レポートを提出する。

| 毎回、事前課題をこなした前提でグループワークを行う。学期中に1回は、テーマに関連する授業外のプログラムやイベントに参加し、レポートを作成する。 |
授業時間外（予習・復習等）の学習 / Study Required Outside of Class
毎回事前配布資料や課題を出すので、必ず準備して授業に参加することが求められる。事前準備をしないと、グループワークについていけなくなる。授業時間外の学習に関する指示は、必要に応じて別途指示する。

この科目は「英語に関連する科目」である。授業は基本日本語で行うが、SDGsの基本文献など英語のテキストやデータベースを用いて授業を行うバイリンガルの設定となっている。使用する資料等については上記の「テキスト」「参考文献」の他、授業内で紹介する。
