Course Objectives
To deepen understanding of family education and acquire knowledge of its historical transition. To be able to understand and examine family education in relation to school and social education. To be able to understand the challenges of modern family education. In addition, to understand and analyze the conditions to revitalize and create a local community through cooperation of families and schools with local organizations and institutions from an educational perspective, while recognizing it as a social issue of modern Japan through case studies.
Course Contents
In order to understand the concept of family education, we will first study the historical transition of the role placed on home and family under the change in society. We will also cover the related policies, systematically viewing family education in relation to school and social education, and clarify how the family and school are related to the local community from the community education perspective. In addition, we will consider the issues of modern family education, considering the diversity of family and lifestyle, as well as gender perspectives.

授業の目標 / Course Objectives
家庭教育の理解を深め歴史的変遷の知識を身につける。学校教育や社会教育との関連から家庭教育を捉え考察できる。現代における家庭教育の課題を理解できるようになる。さらに、家庭と学校が地域住民の諸組織や機関との連携協力により、地域社会を教育の視点から再生・創造させるための条件について、具体的な事例をとおして、現代日本の教育課題として把握・分析する力量をつける。

授業の内容 / Course Contents
家庭教育の概念を理解していくために、まず社会変化に伴う家庭や家族の役割について歴史的変遷を学んでいく。関連施策にも触れ、学校教育や社会教育との関連の中での家庭教育を体系的に捉えて、家庭と学校が、地域コミュニティと、どのように関連しているかを地域教育の視点からも明らかにしていく。さらに、現代における家庭教育の課題について家族形態・生活の多様性やジェンダー視点もふまえながら考えていく。
In order to understand the concept of family education, we will first study the historical transition of the role placed on home and family under the change in society.
