Discussion topics will include, but will not be limited to, gender issues, class conflict, and racial/ethnic conflict. Students will read texts from American literature, focusing on the genres of Modernism and Post-Modernism. Students will be asked to draw comparisons between specific stories and poems as well as the characters and the situations in the stories.
