Course Objectives
Through writing about contemporary theater (excluding musicals), students will consider the meaning of the act of criticism and acquire a rich sensitivity and writing ability.
Course Contents
During the course period, students will go to see a contemporary theater performance in Tokyo (or the suburbs) and give a presentation on the characteristics of the work and the issues involved. In the end, students will be asked to write critiques and discuss them to brush up their writings and perspectives.

授業の目標 / Course Objectives
現代演劇（ミュージカルを除く）について書くことを通じて、批評という行為の意味を考え、豊かな感性と筆力を身につける。
Through writing about contemporary theater (excluding musicals), students will consider the meaning of the act of criticism and acquire a rich sensitivity and writing ability.
授業の内容 / Course Contents
開講期間中に都内（または東京近郊）で行われている現代演劇の公演を見にいき、作品の特徴や課題について発表してもらいます。最終的には批評を執筆してもらい、討議することによって文章や視野をブラッシュアップしていきます。
