Course Objectives
The Cultural Representationｓ of African American, Latino and Caribbean Groups in the USA
Course Contents
In this lesson we will consider the communities of African American, Latino and Caribbean peoples in the U.S. and look at their cultural representations through the relationships between history, society and culture. Also, we will examine each group from several perspectives, including the viewpoints of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, etc. Cultural representations include music, dance, art, fashion, etc.

授業の内容 / Course Contents
本授業では、米国のアフリカ系アメリカ人、ラティーノ、カリブ系のコミュニティの形成について学び、彼/女らの文化表象を歴史的社会的に検討していく。また、人種、エスニシティ、ジェンダー、セクシャリティなどの視点からも各集団を考察する。文化表象には音楽、ダンス、アート、ファッションなどが含まれる。
