19世紀から20世紀に活躍したロシアの代表的な詩人・作家について学ぶことで、ロシア文学史の大まかな流れを理解すること。また、個々の作品に対する様々な解釈を知った上で、その作品について自分なりの意見を持てるようになることを期待します。

The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the mainstream of Russian literary history from the 19th century to the 20th century. I also expect that students will be able to have their own opinions about each work, knowing the various interpretations of it.

19世紀から20世紀までのロシア文学の概説。原則として各回に1人ずつ詩人・作家を取りあげて解説します。特に、ある作品の解釈の変遷や、対立する複数の解釈を紹介し、周囲を取り巻く環境や時代によって、受容の仕方が変化してゆく様子に着目します。また、日本文学との関係にも随時目を配る予定。ときどき関連する映像作品を視聴します。

A survey of Russian literary history from the 19th century to the 20th century. In principle, this course explains one poet/writer each week. We explore how the reception of work changes depending on the surrounding environment and the times. It is done by introducing the transition of interpretations of work and multiple conflicting interpretations. This course also pays attention to the relationship between Russian and Japanese literature. We will occasionally watch videos related to this course.
