Course Objectives
The object of this course is to overview and understand the current agricultural policies to support farm income, market price, international trade agreement, and that, to understand new policies for resource management and environment protection, rural development, and food safety, with local and global perspective.
Course Contents
This course discusses agricultural policies and its reforms, which include farm income support, trade policy, resource management and environmental protection, rural development, food safety and related regulations. Main focus is on the agricultural policy reform in the US, European countries and Japan.

授業の目標 / Course Objectives
農業政策の主たる範囲は，農業経営や農産物市場・貿易に関わる経済政策である。しかし今日では，資源・環境保全を目的とした政策，食品関連産業の発展に対応した食品安全政策等が含まれる。農業政策は，経済面にくわえて非経済面にも配慮することが求められている。本授業では，そのような今日的な農業政策について国際的視野から理解する。

授業の内容 / Course Contents
農業政策の主流である経営安定・支援政策，農産物市場・貿易政策等について説明する。つづいて，環境・資源保全政策，農村振興政策，食品安全・規格基準・表示等に関する政策について説明することにより，近年の欧米先進諸国や日本が進める農政改革について理解を深める。
This course discusses agricultural policies and its reforms, which include farm income support, trade policy, resource management and environmental protection, rural development, food safety and related regulations. Main focus is on the agricultural policy reform in the US, European countries and Japan.
