In this course, we will explore the complex and multifaceted influence of Christianity on history and culture, with a particular focus on medieval Europe. By examining the diversity and transformation of various groups within this context, we aim to gain insights that may help us navigate life in a pluralistic society.
Christianity has shaped the world and humanity in countless ways. In this course, we will examine medieval Europe, where Christianity became a fundamental organizing principle, incorporating perspectives from the history of emotions and mentalities. Please note that the syllabus may be adjusted as needed based on the progress of the course.

中世キリスト教世界やそこに生きた人々の世界観や思想および感性に関わることが中心ですが、講義内容は出席者の関心に応じて変動します。出席して、話を聞いて、考えたことをリアクション・ペーパーで授業後に提出してください。前提的知識は問いません。リアクション・ペーパーの記述は後の回で取り上げてコメントしたりする予定です。授業を聞いて自分で考えることを楽しむ人を歓迎します。
この授業では、「キリスト教世界」が成立・展開した中世ヨーロッパを中心に、キリスト教と歴史・文化の多面的な影響関係を考察する。そこに見られる多様性のありようと変容を考察することで、多元的な社会を生きる糧を各自見出してもらう。

キリスト教がこの世界や人間にもたらしたものは数多くある。この授業では、キリスト教が構成原理となった中世ヨーロッパを中心に、心性史・感情史の観点を含めて考察してみたい。シラバスに記載された予定は目安であり、出席者の関心に応じて適宜変更を加える。
