This course aims: (1) to develop knowledge and understanding of Asian religions; (2) to explore the relationship between gender roles in societies and religions; and (3) to raise awareness about the contribution of women to the ongoing development of feminist theology.
Despite Asian women comprising more than a quarter of the world’s population, ignorance of Asian women, their voices, theological reflections, and contributions is widespread and persistent at a global level, but the same is true at regional level. By tracing the history of the feminist theological movement in Asia, this course will explore how Christianity, as well as Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism, and Confucianism, have influenced women in Asia.

本講義は、（1）アジアの宗教についての基礎的な知識・理解を得ること、（2）社会と宗教におけるジェンダー役割の関係性について探求すること、（3）フェミニスト神学の展開に対する女性たちの貢献についての気づきを得ることを目標とします。
This course aims: (1) to develop knowledge and understanding of Asian religions; (2) to explore the relationship between gender roles in societies and religions; and (3) to raise awareness about the contribution of women to the ongoing development of feminist theology.
アジアの女性たちは世界人口の4分の1を占めるにもかかわらず、彼女たちの声、神学的考察、貢献についての等閑視はグローバルレベルで広く行き渡り、維持されてきましたが、それは地域レベルにおいても同様です。本講義では、アジアにおけるフェミニスト神学運動の歴史を紐解くことによって、キリスト教、そして仏教、イスラーム教、ヒンドゥー教、儒教が、アジアの女性たちにどのような影響を与えてきたかを検討します。
