Students will acquire basic knowledge of Christian worship and learn about baptism and the Eucharist, which are called 'sacraments'.
After explaining the basic aspects of Christian worship, we will look at baptism and the Eucharist from the perspectives of history, theology and practice.
While the focus will be on the Anglican perspective, we will also consider an ecumenical perspective.
Since worship is also a practical act, we will hold classes in the chapel twice during the term.
Students will be asked to submit comments for each class. Comments of interest to the class will be presented and responded to in subsequent classes. The content of the course will also be adjusted according to the comments and reactions during the course.
Please note that some of the content will overlap with “Lectures on Christian Studies 33”, as this course does not assume any prior knowledge.

可能な範囲で、キリスト教礼拝を具体的に体験することを強く勧めたい。講義や動画等では触れられない「雰囲気」を知ることは、この授業での学びに大変有意義である。
It is highly recommended to experience Christian worship as much as possible. Knowing its "atmosphere" that cannot be felt in lectures or videos is very meaningful for learning in this class.

予備知識は前提としないが、授業中に実際の礼拝に参加したりすることもあるので、自身の持つ宗教的背景以外に対する開かれた気持ちを持って授業に参加して欲しい。
While no prior knowledge is assumed, on occasions you will participate in actual worship services during class, so students are asked to participate in class with an open mind to religious backgrounds other than their own.
キリスト教礼拝についての基礎的な知識を身につけ、「サクラメント」と呼ばれる洗礼と聖餐（ユーカリスト）について学ぶ。

キリスト教礼拝についての基礎的な知識について説明した後、洗礼とユーカリストについて、歴史・神学・実践の各側面から見ていく。
聖公会の礼拝からの視点を中心としつつ、エキュメニカルな視点にも配慮する。
礼拝は実践を伴うものでもあるので、学期中2回はチャペルで授業を行う。
毎回の授業に対してはコメントの提出を求める。共有する意味があるコメントについては、続く授業の中で紹介して応答する。また、コメントの内容や授業中の反応で、授業内容を調整しつつ進めていく。
なお、予備知識を前提としないため、一部の内容がキリスト教学講義33と重なることを承知されたい。
