Learn how to write academic articles by reading foreign-language literature.
In the world of academia, there are rules to be observed by the researchers who are active in each field. The grounds for the assertions of each researcher must be clearly stated in annotations or in main text, and, from the initial setting of topic to the final conclusion, a researcher's own theory must be logically developed through the structuring of chapters and sections. Seminar participants will take up English-language literature on topics of shared interest, and will learn such rules through reading academic papers.

学問の世界には、その世界に参加する研究者たちが守っているルールがあります。それぞれが主張することの根拠は何か、註や本文の中で明示する必要がありますし、最初の課題設定から最後の結論にいたるまで、章立てや節立ての組み立てにより、論理的に自らの説を展開しなければなりません。セミナー参加者が共通に興味を持てるテーマについての英語文献を取り上げ、それを講読する中から、そうした世界共通の学術上のルールについて学んでいきます。
