【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

古代史の代表的な史料を読み、基本的な史料の読み力を身につけることを目標とする。古代史に関係する史料は、『日本書紀』『続日本紀』などの六国史から律令や『延喜式』『類聚三代格』などの法制史料が中心であるが、その他『万葉集』や『懐風藻』などの詩歌集、『日本霊異記』などの説話などの文学作品も古代史を知るためには重要である。最近では木簡や墨書土器・文字瓦、多胡碑などの金石文も重要な史料として扱われている。この授業では古代史の多様な史料に触れ、古代史がどのような学問であるかを理解する。その上で２年生の段階では、まず漢文の史料に慣れると共に史料の読み方や基本的な字句の調べ方を学び、その史料の内容を理解し関係する事項については、人名辞典やその他の研究書を参考にして、古代史を理解できるようにする。

The goal of this course is to read representative historical sources of ancient history and to acquire basic reading skills. Historical materials related to ancient history are mainly legal historical sources such as the History of the Six Kingdoms such as the Nihonshoki and the Continuation of the Syokunihongi, the Ritsuryo, the Engishiki, and the Sandaikyaku, but other literary works such as poetry collections such as the Manyōshū and Kaifusou and narratives such as the Nihonreiki are also important for understanding ancient history. Recently, gold stone inscriptions such as wooden tablets, ink calligraphy, earthenware, character tiles, and Tahu steles have also been treated as important historical materials. In this class, students will come into contact with a variety of historical materials in ancient history and understand what kind of study ancient history is. Then, in the second year, students first become familiar with Chinese historical sources, learn how to read historical documents and look up basic lexical expressions, understand the contents of the historical sources, and refer to personal name dictionaries and other research books on related matters to understand ancient history.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

日本古代史の代表的な基本史料を読み、古代史についての理解を深める。史料講読の進め方は、毎回報告者を決め、事前に割り振った担当範囲に関する「書き下し」、「現代語訳」、「語釈」を行う。報告者は関連史料も参考資料として用意して解説を行う。報告者以外も毎回の範囲に関しては各自「書き下し」をおこなって予習してくること。
史跡・博物館の巡見やゼミ合宿（年1，2回の予定）なども行いたい。

Deepen your understanding of ancient history by reading representative basic historical materials of Japan's ancient history. As for how to proceed with the reading of historical materials, a presenter is selected each time, and "writing," "modern translation," and "lexification" are performed related to the area of responsibility assigned in advance. The presenter uses the "Ritsuryō" and "Enki Shiki" to prepare and explain related historical materials as reference materials. In addition to the presenter, each person should prepare for the scope of each session by writing it down.
We would also like to visit historical sites and museums and hold seminar camps (scheduled to be held once or twice a year).
