Continuing from Seminars H21, students will deepen their understanding of contemporary Japanese history studies and the history of research concerning those studies, with an emphasis on the relationship of these with the setting of research themes.
Students will read key research documents and academic papers in contemporary Japanese history studies, and, continuing from Seminars H21, will target contemporary Japanese history studies, particular from the 1960s to 1990s. All participants will prepare the specified literature and historical materials ahead of class. In the class, one or two participants will take the role of reporter, after which all members will take part in Q&A based on the reports. Specifically, the course will address the following points:
1. Reading of scholarly documents and academic papers concerning contemporary Japanese history studies
2. Reading of historical materials concerning the 1970s to 1990s
The class will judge progress with an emphasis on students' degree of understanding and interests, and will advance through repetition of the above steps 1-2.

演習H21に引き続き，日本現代史への理解を深めるが，各自の研究テーマ決定との関連を重視して，日本現代史に関する研究史への理解を深める。
Continuing from Seminars H21, students will deepen their understanding of contemporary Japanese history studies and the history of research concerning those studies, with an emphasis on the relationship of these with the setting of research themes.
日本現代史における主要な研究書・論文の講読をしつつ，演習H21に引き続き日本現代史, なかでも1960～1990年代を対象とする。授業は，指定した文献や史料を参加者全員が授業の前に予習しておき，その中の１～２名がレポーターとして報告し，その報告に基づき全員が質疑応答する形式で行う。具体的には，以下の通りである。
１. 日本現代史に関する学術書・学術論文の講読
２. 1970〜90年代に関する史料読み
学生の理解度や興味関心を重視して進度を決定し，以上の１～２を繰り返して，授業を進める。
Students will read key research documents and academic papers in contemporary Japanese history studies, and, continuing from Seminars H21, will target contemporary Japanese history studies, particular from the 1960s to 1990s.
