In this class, we will learn methodology on anthropological fieldwork, reading ethnography, and comparative study among several societies through several topics. Topics are selected according to student's interests. Students explore one's research topic and make presentations about progress.
This class focuses on reading the literature on cultural anthropology. Also, students make research presentations based on their interests.

本講義では、文化人類学の基本となるフィールドワークの手法や文献講読、比較文化間研究について具体的なトピックとともに学ぶ。トピックについては、履修者の興味関心に応じて相談の上決定する。履修者は自身の研究課題について自主的に研究を進め、進捗状況を発表し意見交換をすることが求められる。

文献の輪読および学生の研究発表を中心とする。輪読では、発表者とコメンテータを毎回決め、受講生全員で議論を行う。学生の研究発表では、各自がテーマを決め、グループ発表あるいは個人発表を行う。場合によっては、小規模のフィールドワークを行うこともある。
