The study of ancient Japan's history is mainly based on reading historical documents, but it is very important to learn about the results of related ruins and artifacts in an interdisciplinary manner. In addition to visiting the local ruins, it is also necessary to have the ability to interpret and read how to interpret the artifacts, and before doing so, it is necessary to learn archaeological research methods. This time, we will explore ancient tombs and ancient ruins in the Osaka Plain, and learn about the establishment of the ancient royal power and the establishment of the Ritsuryō state.

フィールドワークの日程は、夏季休暇中の９月中旬を予定しています。そのため、オリエンテーションのガイダンスには必ず出席してください。日時：4月4日（土）11：30～12：00 教室：DB01
事前学習会は5～7月の昼休みに行います（昼食持参可）。参加できない場合は、必ず三舟（t-mifune@rikkyo.ac.jp)までメールでご連絡ください。
この授業の目的は、古代の遺跡を見学して遺跡の立地・地形・距離感について学び、同時に博物館や研究所で古代の遺物を実見することで、古代における地域史研究の方法を学ぶことを目的とする。

日本古代史の研究は文献史料を読むことが中心であるが、関連する遺跡や遺物の成果を学際的に学ぶことがとても重要である。現地の遺跡を見学すると共に、遺物をどのように解釈するか、それを読みとる力も必要であり、その前にまず考古学研究の手法を学ぶ必要がある。今回は大阪平野の古墳や古代遺跡を探訪し、古代王権の成立から律令制国家の成立を実地踏査して学ぶ。
