The purpose of this lecture is to understand the characteristics of medieval Japanese life and values, and to acquire flexible thinking skills to perceive history and culture from diverse perspectives.
The course also aims to enable students to discuss Japanese culture from the perspectives of regional society, international relations, and religious history.
This lecture will focus on various cultural phenomena related to the medieval period in Japan. Issues that have not been examined in depth and a variety of materials will be introduced. We hope you will enjoy learning.
I hope that this lecture will provide you with an opportunity to overcome your preconceived notions about Japanese culture and history and to change your perceptions.

日本史に関する前提知識はとくに求めない。
知らないことは辞書や参考書を自分で調べ、知識や経験をつむほうがむしろよい。
授業と無関係な私語・スマホ使用・居眠りなどの行為は認めない。
また、授業内容・順序などは進度によって一部変わる場合がある。
平常点として毎回の授業内容へのコメントを「Canvas LMS」で電子提出してもらう予定である。
オンラインの回があるので、リモート授業に対応可能なパソコンを使えるようにしておくこと。
日本中世の生活や価値観の特徴を理解し、多様な視点から歴史・文化を捉える柔軟な思考力をもつ。
日本文化を、地域社会、国際関係、宗教史の視点から語れるようになる。

本講義は、日本の中世に関するさまざまな文化現象をとりあげる。従来掘り下げられてこなかった問題、多様な素材を紹介するので、楽しく学んでほしい。日本文化・日本史に対する先入観を取り払い、リフレッシュする機会となれば幸いである。
