To cultivate a comprehensive understanding of and interest in Latin America's diverse natural environments, its history of colonization and development, and its economic, social, cultural characteristics, as well as the various challenges it faces.
This course first provides an overview of analytical perspectives for studying Latin America, including a dynamic regional approach, regional structure, natural environments, and ethnic composition. It then examines the Amazon as a case study, offering a detailed analysis of the relationships between diverse ecological spaces and human lifeways and cultural practices, grounded in colonial historical context and drawing primarily on perspectives from cultural ecology.

To cultivate a comprehensive understanding of and interest in Latin America's diverse natural environments, its history of colonization and development, and its economic, social, cultural characteristics, as well as the various challenges it faces.
この授業では、最初にラテンアメリカを学ぶ動態地誌的な視座や地域構成、自然環境、民族構成などについて概説する。そのうえで、アマゾンを事例に取り上げて、多様な生態空間と人々の生活文化との関わりについて、植民史を踏まえつつ、おもに文化生態学的視点から詳説する。
