Students learn basic theory and methodology in urban studies and urban geography to understand the process of urban formation and residential problems in American and Japanese cities
The instructor makes lectures on basic urban theory and methodology established from early 20th century onwards. Students will understand the characteristics of cities and be prepared to discuss urban problems of today.

地理学を中心に、都市研究における基礎的な理論の変遷を踏まえ、現代都市が直面する様々な課題について考える
