(1)Students will acquire the concept of deviance theory from labeling theory to constructionism.
(2)Students will be able to analyze and discuss various issues related to “child deviance” such as correctional education in juvenile training schools, bullying problems, and developmental disorders.
Students will learn about labeling theory through a roundtable reading of “Outsiders” by Howard S. Becker, translated by Naoyuki Murakami (2019, Gendai Jinbunsha). The literature will be read, and each session leader will summarize and report on the content of the literature. Based on the reports, students will have discussions to make the analytical perspectives from the literature our own.

（2）少年院の矯正教育やいじめ問題、発達障害など「子どもの逸脱」に関する諸問題を分析・考察することができる。

ハワード・S・ベッカー著、村上直之訳『完訳アウトサイダーズ』（2019年，現代人文社）を輪読し、ラベリング論を学ぶことから始める。文献を読み、各回の担当者が文献の内容をまとめ、報告をする。その報告をもとに、ディスカッションを行うことで、文献から得た分析視角を自分のものにしていく。
