This is an intensive seminar course on philosophy of education. The aim of this seminar is students' capacity-building with respect to philosophical thinking that allows us to examine fundamental issues about education. We will read literatures that in particular relate to the following topics:
1. SDGs and educational practice
2. Philosophy for Children (P4C) and philosophical dialogue
3. Tojisha-Kenkyu (Frist-person research)
In the spring semester, after explaining the method of philosophical dialogue, we will read the following three texts, ask questions, and engage in philosophical dialogue in groups. We will ask you to write a report on each of them.

・E. Fromm, ‘On Evil’, Chikuma Gakugei Bunko
・Mukaiyachi, I., ‘The Wind Blowing from the House of Bethel (Revised and Enlarged Edition)’, Inochi no Kotoba-sha
We also plan to carry out SDGs Philosophy Dialogue fieldwork in Thailand during the summer holidays and in Okinawa during the spring holidays. The methods for fieldwork and philosophical dialogue will be explained.

このゼミでは、教育哲学を中心として、現在の教育のあり方について根本的に問い直すテーマをフィールド調査のなかで見つけながら、それについて対話しながら哲学的に考えを深めていく方法を取ります。以下のテーマに関心のある人を求めています。

春学期は、哲学対話の方法を説明してから、以下の3冊のテキストを読み、問いを立ててグループで哲学対話をします。それぞれレポートを書いてもらいます。

また、夏季休暇期間にタイで、春休暇期間に沖縄で、SDGs哲学対話フィールドワークを実施する予定です。そのための方法の説明や哲学対話の練習も行います。
