This is an intensive seminar course on philosophy of education. The aim of this seminar is students' capacity-building with respect to philosophical thinking that allows us to examine fundamental issues about education. We will read literatures that in particular relate to the following topics:
1. SDGs and educational practice
2. Philosophy for Children (P4C) and philosophical dialogue
3. Tojisha-Kenkyu (Frist-person research)
The spring semester has two assignments.
First, read the following three texts, formulate questions, and engage in philosophical dialogue in groups. Each participant will write a report.
・Masato Tanaka, What Is Justice? (Chuo Koron Shinsha)
・Erich Fromm, The Seduction of Evil (Chikuma Gakugei Bunko)
・Satsuki Ayaya & Shinichiro Kumagai, The Art of Connection, NHK Publishing
The second is fieldwork and class support related to the SDGs. You will assist with research for the Comprehensive Inquiry period at Inabe Sogo Gakuen High School in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture, and support presentations on-site during the summer. Additionally, during the summer vacation period, you will conduct SDGs philosophy dialogue fieldwork at an elementary school in Minamiboso City, Chiba Prefecture. Explanations of the methods and practice sessions for the philosophy dialogue will also be provided.

このゼミでは、教育哲学を中心として、現在の教育のあり方について根本的に問い直すテーマをフィールド調査のなかで見つけながら、それについて対話しながら哲学的に考えを深めていく方法を取ります。以下のテーマに関心のある人を求めています。
（１）SDGsの哲学とその教育実践
（２）子どもの哲学と哲学対話
（３）当事者研究

春学期は、二つの課題があります。
１）ひとつは、以下の3冊のテキストを読み、問いを立ててグループで哲学対話をします。それぞれレポートを書いてもらいます。
・田中将人『正義とは何か』中央公論新社
・E.フロム『悪について』ちくま学芸文庫
・綾屋紗月・熊谷晋一郎『つながりの作法』NHK出版
２）ふたつめは、SDGsに関わるフィールドワークと授業支援です。三重県いなべ市いなべ総合学園高校の総合探求の時間の研究調査を支援しながら、夏季に現地にて発表の支援を行います。また、夏季休暇期間に千葉県南房総市の小学校でのSDGs哲学対話フィールドワークを実施する予定です。そのための方法の説明や哲学対話の練習も行います。
The spring semester has two assignments.
