(1) Students will understand the significance of introducing knowledge of home economics and lifestyle studies into pedagogical research.
(2) Students will deepen their understanding of the relationship between housing, architecture and education.
(3) Students will be able to compare and discuss multiple literatures.
(4) Students will develop the ability to critique everyday life.
(1) Students will report on and discuss postwar architects who discussed housing.
(2) Students will individually or in groups determine a research theme, conduct literature research and field research, and report on their findings.
(3) Students will prepare a final report based on their research.

（1）教育学研究に家政学、生活学の知見を導入することの意義を理解する。
（2）住居、建築と人間形成の関係について理解を深める。
（3）複数の文献を比較し、考察することができるようになる。

（1）住まいについて論じた戦後の建築家に関する報告とディスカッションを行う。
（2）個人ないしはグループでリサーチテーマを定め、文献研究やフィールド調査を行って報告する。
（3）リサーチを踏まえた最終レポート（5000字程度を予定）を作成する。

当該のテーマについて複数の文献を考察し、自分なりのまとめを行ったプレゼンテーションの準備が毎回必要になる。報告レジュメの一次稿は報告の1週間前までに準備し、コメンテーターはこの一次稿に対するコメントを次週までに準備する。事後は全受講者がリアクションペーパーを提出し、当該回の議論を振り返ることになる。また、授業内容と関わりの深い建築物（学生が移動できる範囲内のところで）を期限を決めて見ておくように指示することがある。
