The goals of this course are as follows:
(1) To acquire foundational knowledge of curriculum theory.
(2) To critically examine approaches to curriculum development, drawing on what has been learned in the course.
(3) To develop concrete curriculum plans by applying what has been learned.
This course examines how educational curricula are developed and why curriculum development matters. Using the Course of Study as a reference point, students will learn the significance of school-based curricula and the methods (principles) by which they are organized, with the aim of building practical competence in curriculum planning and development in schools.

本授業は、教育課程（カリキュラム）の編成方法、及び、その意義について学習するものである。学習指導要領を基準として各学校において編成される教育課程について、その意義や編成の方法（編成原理）を学習し、学校における教育課程編成の力量を培う。
