Through applied theatre, we will explore and consider expression and human beings. In theatre, expressing oneself and receiving expression are inseparable. Expressing oneself in order to convey something and accepting the expression of others who are trying to convey something are fundamental to human communication. Through trials of various acts of expression, we will deepen our understanding of ourselves and others, and aim to consider the nature of relationships with others, the nature of collaborative work, and the meaning of such work, as well as the interaction with the environment.
Applied theatre is a general term for theatre activities that are performed for purposes other than artistic or entertainment value. In particular, the educational and welfare functions of applied theatre have attracted attention in recent years. Applied theatre is a form of theatre that has been developed and researched as a method of expression that anyone can access without requiring any special skills. A typical form of applied theatre is the theatre game. Theatre games are designed to enable anyone to express their feelings and thoughts without becoming overly tense. In this class, we will experience theatre games and other activities to consider the possibilities of communication and dialogue through expressive acts, and the conditions that make this possible.

実習を伴うため、動きやすい服装、靴で参加してください。
応用演劇を通して、表現と人間について探究、考察する。演劇においては、表現することと表現を受け止めることは不可分です。自ら何かを伝えようと表現することと、何かを伝えようとする他者の表現を受容することは、人間のコミュニケーションの基本です。さまざまな表現行為へのトライアルを通じて、自己と他者についての理解を深め、他者との関係、および共同作業のあり方とその意味、さらに環境との相互作用を考察する。

応用演劇は、芸術性、娯楽性だけでない目的を持っておこなわれる演劇活動の総称です。演劇が本来有している教育的機能などに注目し、誰もがアクセスできる表現方法としての演劇の実践と研究を蓄積しています。その代表的な実践方法が、シアターゲームです。シアターゲームは、誰もが過度な緊張をすることなく、自分の気持ちや考えを表現できるように工夫されている。ワークショップ形式でシアターゲームなどを実際に経験しながら、表現行為を通じたコミュニケーションや対話の可能性と、それを可能にする条件などについて検討する。
