Career guidance and counseling for students are closely linked in schools. Regarding the nature of this relationship, students will aim to fundamentally grasp the issue of student comprehension along with understanding the modernization of social and educational systems. Based on that, in addition to understanding the daily issues of career guidance and counseling, students will consider ways of handling these, and acquire practical methods for becoming teachers who can provide guidance with a long-term perspective.
From socialization problems to delinquency and problematic behavior, the range of counseling is broad. Among the history and present of educational issues, what practices have been thought of regarding how to handle career guidance and counseling? This class explores what student comprehension means to teachers who support those practices. By building on these things and identifying the characteristics of current educational issues and career guidance issues, students will think about those methods of guidance.

生徒指導と進路指導とは密接に関連している。その関係性について、社会と教育制度の近代化の中で把握するとともに、生徒理解とは何かという問題について原理論的な理解をめざす。それを踏まえ生徒指導と進路指導の今日的課題を理解するとともに対応の仕方を検討し、長期的展望に立った指導のできる教師となるための実践的方法の獲得をめざす。

社会化問題から非行・問題行動への対応まで、生徒指導の守備範囲は広い。教育問題の歴史と現在を概観する中で、生徒指導や進路指導がどのように考えられ実践されてきたか。そうした実践を支える教師による生徒理解とはどのようなものであったのか。それらを理解したうえで、現代の教育問題と進路問題の特徴を理解するとともに、その指導のあり方を考えていきたい。
