The students will be able to plan activities in line with children’s interests and realities based on their understanding of formative expressions. The students acquire an attitude in which they prioritize children’s physicality and pursue ways to bring out rich and diverse expressions from children by studying teaching materials.
Based on the Elementary School Curriculum Guidelines, the students learn about the learning arenas of “expression”, “appreciation”, and “common matters”, as well as the goals and study contents set up for respective school year. Then, they independently prepare a teaching plan and organize a mock lesson. The students also learn about how to study teaching materials, write curriculum guidelines, establish annual teaching plans, and assess children’s progress.

図画工作科の学習指導計画立案においては、立案者がその素材や用具、活動の指導ができることが必要である。また、その活動を通して子どもたちがどのような点に関心をもち、楽しさを感じるか、体験を通して理解することが必要である。そのため、授業外でも教材研究を通して計画の改善を図ること。

小学校学習指導要領をもとに、領域「表現」、「鑑賞」、「共通事項」と各学年の目標と内容について学びながら、受講者が自ら指導計画を立て、模擬授業を行う。教材研究、学習指導要領の書き方、年間指導計画の立て方、評価方法等についても学んでいく。
