To acquire an understanding of the instructional content of elementary school mathmatics as stipulated in the Course of Study, as well as the theories of elementary mathematics that underpin this content, and to examine teaching methods together with the theoretical foundations of these pedagogical approaches.
To provide lectures on the elementary mathematics and pedagogical theories that constitute the instructional content of elementary school mathematics, and to deepen understanding of these theories by viewing video recordings of actual mathematics lessons and engaging with fundamental mathematical problems.

小学校算数科の指導内容を構成している初等数学とその指導法の理論を講義し、それらの理論を深めるために実際の算数科の授業のビデオコンテンツ等を視聴したり、基礎的な数学問題に取り組んだりする。
