Examine the relationship between Life Studies, daily life, and human "Bildung," exploring the educational value of experience and the underlying philosophies while deepening the understanding of children. In addition to analyzing the practice of Life Studies, students will consider its connections to life journaling education, the core curriculum, and social studies. The course aims to deepen understanding of the reciprocal relationship between educational practice and theory, the role of teachers, and the school environment. Furthermore, students will explore foundational fields such as pedagogy, educational philosophy, the history of education, and curriculum development.
This course examines education, ideas, and practices related to Life Studies, aiming to enhance students' understanding of children and the school environment. Specifically, we will focus on the study of "teaching materials" (zai) and experiential learning, as well as teacher intervention and child understanding. The course also covers fundamental areas of education, including pedagogy, educational philosophy, history of education, and curriculum. Additionally, the continuity between Life Studies, Integrated Learning, and Inquiry-based Learning will be discussed.

生活科や、人間形成と生活との関係性について考察し、経験や生活の教育的価値や、その背景にある思想について考えていくと共に、子ども理解を深める。また生活科の実践はもちろんのこと、生活綴り方教育、コア・カリキュラム、社会科などとの関連を踏まえて、教育実践と理論の往還、そして教師の果たすべき役割についての理解や学校現場への理解を深める。
教育学や教育思想、教育史、教育課程といった教育基礎的な領域についても理解を深める。

生活科に関連するような教育や思想、実践について検討し理解を深めると共に、子ども理解や、学校現場に対する理解を深めていく。特に「材」や体験に対する考察や理解、教師の働きかけや子ども理解を深めていく。
教育学や教育思想、教育史、教育課程といった教育基礎的な領域についても理解を深める。また総合学習や探究との連続性も考えていく。
