The aim of this course is to provide an overview of education policy based on an understanding of the laws and regulations on Japanese education system, and to provide a theoretical basis for examining education policy.
This course will cover the basic framework and policy trends of the Japanese education system. Based on an understanding of current educational laws, the course will explain the basic aspects of the modern Japanese education system, and will examine and consider the ideals, current situation, and issues of the various policies that are being implemented.

日本の教育制度を支える法規についての理解を軸に教育政策を概観し、教育政策を吟味するための理論的根拠を獲得することを狙いとする。
The aim of this course is to provide an overview of education policy based on an understanding of the laws and regulations on Japanese education system, and to provide a theoretical basis for examining education policy.
日本の教育制度の基本的枠組み、政策動向について講義する。現行の教育法規を理解を通して現代日本の教育制度の基本的事項にについて解説することを基本としつつ、その上で展開される諸政策の理念・現状・課題のありようを検証・考察する。
This course will cover the basic framework and policy trends of the Japanese education system.
