This course surveys the intersections between the “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) and the humanities, which are encountered in various aspects of contemporary society. The course aims to enable each student to examine how the humanities can engage with and contribute to addressing social issues amid rapidly changing global environmental conditions, world affairs, and the expansion of digital society,
The course consists of 1) the introduction to SDGs research in humanities and social sciences, 2) its development, and 3) its practice, referring to a variety of texts related to the humanities, such as literature, history, and thought, as well as social sciences. The course will be conducted through a mixture of lectures, talks by guest speakers, and dialogue between the moderator, guest speakers, and students.
This course is mandatory for the students who plans to apply for SDGs research course.

本科目は、文学部・文学研究科・キリスト教学研究科デュアル・プログラム応募のための必修科目となる。プログラムへの進学を考えている１・２年次生は２年次秋学期の応募時までに単位を修得もしくは履修登録しておく必要がある。
本授業では、私たちが社会の様々な場面で出会う「持続可能な開発目標」（Sustainable Development Goals=SDGs）と人文学の接点を探る。目まぐるしく変転する地球環境、世界情勢、そしてデジタル社会の展開の中で、人文学がどのように社会の諸問題に関わっていくのかを受講生それぞれが検討することを目標とする。

文学・史学・思想・教育など文学部で展開される様々な分野を事例とし、１）人文的SDGs研究・実践の基礎、２）人文的SDGs研究の展開、３）人文的SDGsの実践で構成される。担当教員の講義、ゲストスピーカの講演、教員・ゲストスピーカ・受講者の対話を織り交ぜながら授業を進める。ゲストスピーカなどの詳細は開講時に示す。
