Through the intensive reading of literary texts, students will develop a personally/socially imaginative understanding of those who have different values and backgrounds from their own, thereby broadening the knowledge of issues faced by the multicultural world.
Every week, we will read an English or Irish short story. Special attention will be given to the cultural diversity of chosen texts in terms of gender, race, and ethnicity.

文学作品の精読を通して，他者に対する個人的かつ社会的な想像力を養うとともに，多文化世界がもたらす諸問題への理解を深める。

毎週，読み切りの形で，イギリス・アイルランドの短編小説を精読する。作品の選択にあたっては，文化、ジェンダーや人種・エスニシティの多様性にも配慮する。また、課題図書としてジョージ・オーウェル『動物農場』を読む。
