Upon completion of this course, students are expected to nourish their presentation skills and the ability of critical discussion through the reading of literary works in English.
In this course, students will read English short stories from the late 19th to the 20th centuries in a seminar style and discuss them in group discussions.
In addition, students are required to read the assigned text, Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre, at home and submit a mid-term report on the novel.

この授業では、英語で書かれた文学作品を原文で読み、自分の考えを発表し、また作品について議論する力を養うことを目標とする。

この授業では、19世紀後半から20世紀にかけての英国短篇小説を演習形式で読み、そ作品についてグループ・ディスカッションを行う。
また、シャーロット・ブロンテの『ジェイン・エア』を授業時間外に読み進める課題図書とし、作品についての中間レポートを提出してもらう。
