This course is an introductory course on satirical works in British literature.
Students will learn how to understand and analyse satire and talk about it
Students will also learn how to find details in satirical texts and write a simple review,
Reading and discussion will include: selected writings from the field of satire; writing summaries of a satirist's point; group presentations on a given topic related to the material studied in class.

Pens, pencils, notebook
While the teacher is aware that students are busy and that this class is only one out of many the students are taking, classroom participation, attitude in class and preparation will be a large percentage of the final grade. Non-responsive behaviour during pair or group activities is disrespectful and demotivating to other students, and will hurt the final grade severely for non-responsive or non-cooperative students.
