Through this course , the students will learn how to analyse satirical works in modern literature. At the end of the courses, students will be able to distinguish between the various types of techniques used in satirical literature and understand them.
Lectures on the literary techniques used in satirical works will be explained as well as the various reasons why satire is used. The students will be introduced to contemporary authors and film extracts of novels studied in call will be shown.

Students should have low/mid intermediate English abilities to enroll.
Students need to come to class with pens, pencils and something to write on.ie, notebook, writing paper or others
Although the teacher is aware that the students are busy with other academic and/or club activities, the students in this class are expected to cooperate fully. Be polite, show respect to their classmates and teacher. Participate fully in all activities. Sleeping in the classroom or doing other studies are totally forbidden. Failing to observe the aforementioned will result in poor grades and possibly failing the class. A set of class rules will be distributed on the first day of school.
