【Course Objectives】

Through a close reading of Raymond Carver's short stories, students in this course will improve their English skill to read literary texts accurately.

【Course Contents】

We will read Raymond Carver's short stories in this course. Students will translate a few pages in each class in order to improve their English reading skill. The main focus will be on improving the reading skill, with additional explanations of the interpretations and historical background of each work.
Students will also take two mini tests based on the texts read in class. At the end of the semester, students will take a final test based on texts which are not used in class.
