This course encourages students to think about the interesting aspects of film in their own words. Rather than passively receive the images on the screen, students will learn how to consider the intentions behind the dramatics while watching the work.
Students will watch suspense films by famed director Alfred Hitchcock. Through a detailed analysis of film text, students will also discover how the director vastly expanded the possibilities for film as a form of expression.
