The purpose of this course is to help students acquire basic knowledge about contemporary French culture and society, while also learning how to collect materials, make presentations, and write reports.
In this class, we will explore the characteristics of France through comparisons with Japan, using materials related to its history, politics, religious issues, social situation, and culture. You will deepen your understanding of the French way of thinking and values. The class will be conducted by dividing students into several groups and having them make presentations on a designated topic. Based on these presentations, the whole class will have a chance to ask questions and exchange opinions, allowing each student to put their own thoughts into perspective. At the end of the semester, students will be asked to write a report on the topic covered in class, in which they will express their own views and broaden their perspectives.

現代フランスの文化と社会について、専門教育を受ける上で必要な基礎的知識を学びながら、資料収集、発表の仕方、レポートの作成法を習得する。
The purpose of this course is to help students acquire basic knowledge about contemporary French culture and society, while also learning how to collect materials, make presentations, and write reports.
この授業では、フランスの歴史や政治、宗教問題、社会情勢、文化の在り方などに関する資料を手がかりにして、日本との比較を交えてその特質を探っていきます。そうすることで、それらの根底にあるフランス的思考様式や価値観への理解を深めましょう。授業の進め方としては、いくつかのグループに分かれて指定されたテーマについて発表を行います。それをもとに、クラス全体で質疑応答や意見交換を重ねて、各自の考えを相対化してみましょう。学期末には、授業で扱ったテーマに関するレポートで、自分なりの見解を論述して展望を拓いてもらいます。
