Through literary works featuring the femme fatale and their adaptations for the stage (opera, ballet, film, etc.), students will learn how to interpret narratives and gain insights into French history. At the same time, we acquire skills such as discussions and presentations.
Through reading novels and stage works featuring the femme fatale, students will study the history of modern French society from the 18th to the early 20th century. The aim is to grasp how stories set in a time and place distinct from contemporary Japan differ from and connect with our present-day lives. The course begins with close readings of the novel texts Manon Lescaut by Abbé Prévost (18th century) and La Dame aux Camélias by Dumas fils (early 19th century), progressing to explore more villainous heroines from the late 19th century onward, such as those in Zola's Nana and Wilde's Salomé.

リアクションペーパー、ディスカッション、小レポートのほか、グループ発表を行う。ゼミである以上、必ず全員に発表してもらう。また、その発表をもとに、学期末にはレポートをまとめてもらうことになる。受講者と相談して、できれば授業のテーマに関連した観劇に行く機会を設ける予定である。
ファム・ファタルを扱った文学作品とそのアダプテーションとしての舞台作品（オペラ、バレエ、映画など）を通して、物語の読解の仕方やフランスの歴史について学ぶ。あわせて、ディスカッションや発表などのスキルを身につける。

ファム・ファタルを扱った小説や舞台作品の読解を通して、18世紀から20世紀前半に至るフランス近代社会の歴史について学ぶ。現代日本とは異なる時代と場所を舞台とした物語が、いまの我々の生き方とどのように違い、どうつながっているかをとらえることを目指す。授業ではまずアベ・プレヴォ―『マノン・レスコー』（18世紀）、デュマ・フィス『椿姫』（19世紀前半）の小説テクストの読解から始めて、19世紀後半以降のより悪女的なヒロイン像（ゾラ『ナナ』やワイルド『サロメ』）に迫っていく。
