Students will follow French autobiography history. They will learn about authors and thinkers such as Montaigne, Stendhal,Rousseau, George Sand, and Barthes (artists such as Gogh and Picasso). Although it may seem superficial, there is a hidden purpose (multiple subjects). As time goes on the purpose will become clear.
In this course, we will carefully read different kinds of autobiographical texts.

「私」とは何か？ 2～3の作品を取り上げる。作品は受講生と相談して前期に決める。困難であればモンテーニュ、スタンダール、ルソー、バルト、ゴッホ、ゴーギャン、ピカソ等いくつかの候補を示す。「拡散される噂」「加工された画像」「父」「母」「アイデンティティ」「性」「恋愛」「職業」「人的ネットワーク」「社会や環境」といった今日的な問題について検討する。
