To improve students’ French reading comprehension by working through texts of relatively high abstraction.
This course will closely read and analyze several critical texts, not limited to those in literature and philosophy.
The themes to be covered are expected to include painting, film, music, architecture, food, and fashion; however, the texts will be selected in accordance with students’ interests.
Please note that the course deals with relatively abstract texts written by thinkers and critics, and students should keep this in mind.
In class, students will be randomly called on to read aloud designated passages and provide a Japanese translation.

比較的抽象度の高いテクストを読みながら、フランス語の読解力を磨く。

文学・哲学にかぎらず、批評的テクストをいくつか取りあげ、精読する。
扱うテーマは、絵画、映画、音楽、建築、食、ファッションなどを想定しているが、受講生の関心に応じてテクストを選択する予定である。
なお、思想家・批評家による比較的抽象度の高いテクストを扱うため、その点に留意すること。
授業ではランダムに指名し、指示した箇所を音読の上、訳出してもらう。
