This course aims to explore the relationship between artistic representation and society through French literary and artistic works, mainly from the eighteenth century. It also helps students gain the knowledge and tools necessary to articulate their own perspectives on these topics.
This course will examine the French Classical period from the perspectives of politics, religion, and the family, while tracing the development of literary and artistic works. Relevant visual materials will also be included.
In particular, the course focuses on how artistic representations of the period relate to issues such as secularization and patriarchy.

18世紀を中心とするフランスの文学・芸術作品に触れながら、芸術表象と社会との関係について考察することを目指す。
また、授業内容について自分の意見を表現するための知識と方法を獲得することを目標とする。

政治、宗教、家族という観点からフランス古典主義時代を考察し、文学・芸術作品の展開を見ていく予定です。関連する映像作品についても視聴を予定しています。
特に、当時の芸術表象が「世俗化」や「父権」の問題とどのように関わっているのかを考察します。
