We will consider the modern problems of France through french rap music and films.
Modern French society suffers from suburban problems and inequality. However, minorities and those living in the margins of society are not silent. They are searching for their own way of expression, and one of the concrete representations is rap music. In this class, I will mainly deal with rap (and cinema) and explain what they are claiming in chronological order.

We will consider the modern problems of France through french rap music and films.
フランスの現代社会は、郊外問題や格差に苦しんでいます。ただし、マイノリティや社会の余白に生きる人々は黙っているわけではありません。彼らは自分たちなりの表現を模索していて、その具体的な表象の一つが、ラップ・ミュージック。この授業では、主としてラップを扱いながら、彼らがどのような主張をしているのか、時系列に即して説明します。後半では、郊外映画（バンリュー・シネマ）を扱います。
