In this class, students will learn basic thinking in major areas of linguistics to deepen their understanding of characteristics of human languages and acquire linguistic knowledge to help them master French language.
Students will first understand the foundational characteristic of language before learning basics in major areas of linguistics, including phonetic, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantic, and pragmatic. Whenever possible, examples in French will be used to deepen students’ understanding about French language structures.

本授業は、言語学の主要分野における基本的な考え方を学ぶことで人間の言語の特質について理解を深め、フランス語の修得にも役立つ言語学的知識を身につけることを目的とする。
In this class, students will learn basic thinking in major areas of linguistics to deepen their understanding of characteristics of human languages and acquire linguistic knowledge to help them master French language.
言語というものの本質的な特徴を理解したうえで、音声学・⾳韻論、形態論、統語論、意味論、語用論という言語学の主要分野の基礎事項を学んでいく。できるだけフランス語の例をとりあげることで、フランス語の仕組みについても理解を深める。
Students will first understand the foundational characteristic of language before learning basics in major areas of linguistics, including phonetic, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantic, and pragmatic.
