To acquire the basic ideas and methods for studying modern and contemporary Japanese literature.
This course also aims to develop the ability to write logically and to give oral presentations.
In the first through fourth sessions, we will use a lecture format to explain how to read literary works as objects of research (rather than book reports).
Specifically, how to analyze literary texts, how to research articles and other literature, how to prepare presentation materials, and how to make oral presentations.
In the fifth and subsequent sessions, students will make presentations and engage in general discussions.

日本近現代文学を研究するための基礎となる考え方や方法を身につける。
論理的な文章を書く力や、口頭発表をする力を養うことも目的とする。
To acquire the basic ideas and methods for studying modern and contemporary Japanese literature.
This course also aims to develop the ability to write logically and to give oral presentations.
第1回から第4回までは、文学作品を（読書感想文ではなく）研究の対象として読むための方法について、講義形式で説明する。
具体的には、文学テクストの分析方法、論文等文献の調査方法、発表資料の作成方法、口頭発表の方法である。
第5回以降は、履修者による発表と全体での討議を行う。
