This course aims to acquire oral presentation materials and methods for oral presentation.
Through reading a part of the magazine "Jogaku Sekai" that was published in the Taisho period, students will learn how to analyze them and how to contextualize them with gender, media, etc.
Another goal is to actively deepen our understanding of the social conditions in which women were placed during the Taisho period. Specifically, this includes women's education, women and their occupations, and marriage and childbearing.
After understanding the characteristics of the magazine and the circumstances surrounding women's education and culture during the Taisho period, each student will work to analyze the issue for which he or she is responsible.
After the oral presentation, the students will write a report on further development of the content based on the questions and comments received during the presentation.

口頭発表資料や口頭発表の方法を身につける。
雑誌『女学世界』を読み解くことを通して、分析の方法やジェンダー、メディアなどとテクストとの脈絡の付け方などを学ぶ。
また、大正期の女性が置かれた社会的な状況についても、積極的に理解を深めることも目標の一つである。具体的には、女学校の位相、女性と職業、結婚と出産などが挙げられる。

雑誌という媒体の特質や、大正期の女子教育、女性文化をめぐる状況を理解したうえで、履修者各自が担当する号の分析に取り組む。
口頭発表後は、発表時に受けた質問やコメントをふまえ、内容をさらに発展させたレポートを執筆する。
