Students will read the Wakana chapter of Genji Monogatari (The Tale of Genji), and deepen their understanding of the story.
Hikaru Genji and Onna Sannomiya get married, and Murasaki is downgraded to his second wife, and she becomes ill because of suffering. Kashiwagi invades the room of Onna Sannomiya, aiming for the chance that Hikaru Genji is caring for Murasaki, and commits a secret communication. Hikaru Genji is annoyed to know the fact of adultery. Students will read the story of the collapse of the world of Rokujo-in created by Hikaru Genji.

『源氏物語』の若菜巻を中心とした第二部の物語を読み、理解を深める。
Students will read the Wakana chapter of Genji Monogatari (The Tale of Genji), and deepen their understanding of the story.
女三の宮の降嫁によって二番手の妻に格下げされた紫の上は、苦しみのあまり病に臥す。光源氏が紫の上の看病をしている隙を狙って、柏木が女三の宮のもとに侵入し、密通を犯してしまう。密通の事実を知った光源氏は煩悶する。――光源氏の作り上げた六条院の世界が崩壊していく物語を読む。
